AV installation for Montenotte homes and businesses
Montenotte and St Luke's climb the hill above the river on the north side, with large Victorian houses, period villas with views over the city and Tivoli, and apartments in converted buildings. Sites are steep and houses often spread across several levels.
Split level houses need Wi-Fi planned floor by floor, and the views mean big windows that affect screen placement and glare. We design systems that work room by room, from lighting control in the main rooms to a media room on the lower floor, with larger projects designed by 1Install.

Questions we are often asked
Our house is on several levels. Will one router cover it?
Rarely. We plan an access point per floor or per wing, cabled back to the router, so each level has strong Wi-Fi.
Can smart lighting work with our period switches?
Yes. Lutron and similar systems offer keypads in finishes that suit period rooms, and in many cases the existing wiring can be reused.
Our living room gets a lot of light. Will a TV be hard to see?
We place the screen away from direct glare, suggest a brighter TV where needed, and motorised blinds can be added to the same control.
Can you look after a larger smart home project?
Yes. Whole house Control4, Crestron and Lutron systems are designed and installed by 1Install, the company behind Cork AV.
