TV wall mounting options for Cork homes

Tell us the TV size, the wall and where you want the cables to go. A photo of the wall is the quickest way to a fixed price.

Standard wall mount

Slim tilt bracket supplied and fitted for TVs up to 65 inches, levelled and set at a comfortable viewing height, with cables tidied in neat trunking.

Above the fireplace

We check the chimney breast and the heat above the fire before choosing the fixings. A pull down mount brings the screen to eye level when you sit down to watch.

Cables hidden in the wall

Cables run inside the wall to a recessed plate behind the TV, so nothing shows. Best suited to stud walls and new builds.

Full motion arms

Swing the TV out and round for corners, kitchens and open plan rooms, with heavy duty arms for large screens.

Soundbars and speakers

Soundbar fitted under the TV on a matching bracket, connected and tuned, with the TV remote controlling the volume.

Big and heavy screens

75 inch and larger screens, frame and art mode TVs, and outdoor TVs for the patio, fitted by two engineers.

Local to you

TV wall mounting across Cork city and county

Cork houses vary a lot from one street to the next. A Victorian terrace in Sunday's Well has solid brick and lime plaster, a 1970s semi in Bishopstown has block walls with a skim, and a new home in Carrigaline or Ballincollig is mostly plasterboard on metal or timber studs. Each needs a different fixing, and that is the first thing our engineer checks.

Our team works out of the Cork office every day, so we group TV jobs by area and keep the same fixed price whether you are in the city, the harbour towns, Kinsale or West Cork. Above fireplace mounts are the most common request we get, followed by bedroom TVs and outdoor screens on covered patios.

What every TV install includes

  • The right fixings for your wall. Rated anchors or studs in plasterboard; proper plugs and bolts in block, brick and stone.
  • Height agreed first. We mark the position with you before the first hole is drilled.
  • Set up and tested. Channels, apps, streaming boxes, consoles and picture settings checked before we leave.
  • Tidy finish. Dust sheets down, a vacuum after drilling, and packaging taken away if you want.

Questions we are often asked

How much does it cost to mount a TV in Cork?

It depends on the size of the TV, the wall and whether the cables go inside it. Send us a photo of the wall and we will give you a fixed price, usually the same day.

Can you mount a TV on plasterboard?

Yes. We find the studs and use rated fixings, and for very large screens we add a timber pattress behind the board to spread the weight.

Do you supply the bracket?

Yes, a quality tilt bracket is included in the standard price. If you already have one we are happy to use it, as long as it is rated for your TV.

Can you move the socket behind the TV?

We move aerial and network points ourselves. New electrical sockets are fitted by a registered electrician we work with, and we include that in your price so there is only one booking.

How long does a TV install take?

A standard mount takes about an hour. Hiding cables in the wall or mounting above a fireplace usually takes two to three hours.
